Water Damage Services
The initial effects of a flood are pretty apparent.
Ask yourself the question: What other damage has been done?’
The answer is “how wet is the water?” This sounds crazy but in its solid form, ice, ingression is less than as in for example its gas form, vapour. The size of an initial leak often does not matter, it’s the secondary damage, how it migrates as it is adsorbed into other materials that causes unseen damage. This therefore needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible to limit the effects that it will have on your property. By doing this, we can lower costs and minimize disruption to you. Exactly the same would apply for more widespread flood damage. Typical damage includes swelling, delamination and electrical shorts.
Our water damage flood restoration technicians at Reactive Restoration are Dewpoint, BDMA and IICRC qualified. We have extensive experience in the restoration of flood and water damaged properties. Water has the ability to corrode and encourage the breeding of life forms such as bacteria and mould. When a flooding event occurs, this would be classed as ‘black water’. Black water is best described as water containing a significant quantity of biological and chemical contaminants harmful to human health and habitation. Any flood damaged properties would require extensive sanitisation before any mechanical drying can be undertaken.
